The tapered spindle design ensures a secure and reliable connection, allowing you to achieve the desired finish on your projects. Installation is a breeze: Remove the outer wheel guard, grinding wheel, and inner guard from the side of the machine where you intend to attach the tapered spindle. Screw on the tapered spindle, taking note that the internal thread of the spindle is counter-bored to cover the entire grinder shaft length. Carefully screw the buff onto the tapered spindle, ensuring the thickest flange faces inward. Screw it on as far as the buff will reasonably fit. Turn on the bench grinder, and the buff will tighten further against the tapered spindle. For safety, avoid standing in front of the machine when turning it on. Allow it to run for a minute before bringing your work to the machine.
