ITM Woodworking Vices feature Toe-in: the slight inward angle of the jaws at the top. When you tighten the vice, the top of the jaws make contact first, gradually applying pressure down the length of the workpiece so it is held securely without lifting or shifting. This prevents the workpiece being pushed upward or slipping out of the jaws, giving a more stable grip and better control — particularly useful in woodworking where a secure hold is crucial for accurate cutting, shaping or joining.
